TESTIMONIALS:
Hello. Today I attended Sureyya Gokeri’s Turkish Delights cooking class I’ve attended a lot of PCC classes, and I’ve never emailed about it before. But I just HAD to send a quick note telling you how DELIGHTFUL the class was. Ms. Gokeri is so personable. The class was fun, and she shared a lot of great tips. And the food. OMG! It was SOOOOO good. I’ve taken all the Dueling Diva classes, and you know how popular those are. I have to say, Ms. Gokeri rivals the both of them. I will definitely look for her classes in the future.
Dear, dear, Sureyya, Thank you for such an incredible feast and evening. Having you there with us was as special to the evening as the food! Denise will NEVER forget this birthday; nor will we. Many thanks! Chris (Mr. Clean) and Kate
Hi Sureyya, I wanted to thank you and your husband for a great experience. I know we all had a wonderful time learning more about Turkey, about preparing your fabulous dishes and best of all tasting them. Everything was fabulous. Thank you again for all of the hard work and preparation you went through for us..

Delicious, whole food approach to eating, lots of vegetables and traditional Meditteranean ingredients, sometimes Americanized, other times straight from the Gaziantep region as passed down from generation to generation of Turkish cooks -- I LOVE watching her turn simple ingredients into lick your fingers dishes -- her sensibilities in the kitchen make her a natural and she is charming as well. I would recommend Sureyya's classes to anyone who loves to eat good food! -- Gwen Kapusuzoglu
In my class, Sureyya gently coaxed her small audience into an understanding of her Islamic upbringing and the richness of her culture. Even Americans who, in some cases feel threatened by the very existance of Islam, could not help but feel embraced by her warmth and understanding.
Oh Yes! I actually get chills down my spine when I think of you."I attended one of Sureyya's classes and came away with many wonderful impressions. Her food was exquisitly prepared and presented. More than that, the recipes were easy to follow and very delicious. I was already an 'international eater' but found Middle Eastern food difficult to somewhat difficult to prepare . . . so I eat such food primarily in restaurants. Sureyya changed all that for me. Her vegetables made with a hint of olive oil and spices, slow cooked have for the first time ever, made me a vegetable lover! Niki Riley Since your class, I have been making a little bread made with baking powder and stuffed with various ingredients. I've made it about 4 times in the past three weeks. People, me included, LOVE it. I continue to experiment with the ingredients. I would recommend this class to anyone anywhere. We, myself as well as the other guests learned so much more than how to prepare Turkish food. We tooks lessons from a scholar of life," Sureyya, I enjoyed your class and your hospitality. I am so glad you told me about the Turkish language class you will be teaching at Rick Steves on May 2. My husband and I signed up to attend, and look forward to seeing you again. Gale Paul Sureyya, I have so many impressions left over from this "experience." It is hard to express it all. I can honestly say, it changed my life for the better. Your intrinsic class was brought into the presentation of the food. I, who have not taken much care with food preparation for a few years, not spend time , , , thinking, meditating while I cook. Yesterday, I spent about 2 1/2 hours preparing and experimenting and loving every moment of it. |
Hi Sureyya, Your class was very warm and inviting and I'm so glad I have you for a friend. I'm sure everyone loved the class. Thanks again for the class on Saturday. Nedra
Thanks you so much for the class, it was delightful. And the food delicious! I've already gone out to buy eggplant and yogurt, so I'm off to a great start for someone who doesn't know much about cooking : )

Your cooking demonstration and various stories were very, very enjoyable. You are charming and very gifted in your cooking talents, and it is easy to understand why your classes would be popular.
