I am a chef from GaziantepTurkey. My extra ordinary background is the basis of my culinary training. I love the richness and uniqueness of my culture and cuisine which blend the traditions of the Mediterranean with those of the Middle East. Most of all, I love sharing my culture, my stories and knowledge with people from different backgrounds and traditions. I am passionate about cooking fresh, practical and delicious food, with an emphasis on adding Oriental flavors into my dishes.
My husband of 22 years, Gencer Gokeri and I have owned a successful import business called Istanbul Imports where we sell primarily Turkish and World imports for 18 years.
My company also offers catering services of rich Turkish, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes including unique pastries, special desserts. I love Turkish coffee and invite you to have one with me in my store in Fremont. I have great expertise in organizing festive parties. I reflect the appreciation for food and culture with freshand seasonal ingredients in my food display as well.
I am an Individual Colinary Trip Organizer and Consultant for Turkey. I can offer you advice, help to custom design itineraries , make reservations and enhance your travel to Turkey in every way.
Currently I teach Turkish Home Cooking at PCC Organic Markets and Rick Steves "Europe Throuh the Back Door" where I also teach Turkish to travellers. I offer Private Cooking classes and Turkish Language classes,and I am also available for translation services.
Most importantly I am the mother of two wonderful boys whom I know they eventually will become great cooks as they grow up. My real passion in life is my FAMILY.
